• Family Data: Family group information, member lists, and shared data are stored to enable family sharing features.
• Event Data: Events you create (titles, dates, descriptions) are stored to provide reminders and gift suggestions.

• To send notifications about expiring items, low stock, and upcoming events

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on Amazon Web Services (AWS) servers. We use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256). We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties.

• Google Sign-In: For authentication
• Firebase Cloud Messaging: For push notifications
• Google AdMob: For displaying advertisements (collects device identifiers for ad personalization)

Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us.

Children's Privacy

GiftNest is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
